چکیده
Background The countermovement jump (CMJ) test is often employed to assess power generated in the lower limbs and has been related performance several sports modalities. objective of this study was effects caffeine supplementation on height, average (AP), peak (PP), maximum velocity (V max ), force production duration eccentric, isometric concentric muscle contraction phases a CMJ. Methods Sixteen resistance-trained men (age: 22.69±2.12 years; height: 1.78±0.06 m; weight: 78.09±10.27 kg) performed CMJ 60 minutes after having taken an oral supplement containing 6 mg·kg-1 or placebo (sucrose). design randomized, double-blind crossover. Results Caffeine ingestion improved height (+3.86%, P=0.02), V (+1.49%, P=0.023), AP (+4.83%, P=0.006), PP (+3.49%, P=0.004). Conclusions Acute leads , without significantly affecting different phases. Therefore, may be as ergogenic aid where associated with sport-specific enhancements.

Countermovement Jump Performance
Post-activation potentiation (PAP) following a bout of high-intensity exercise of short duration is known to produce both a fatigued and a potentiated state. There has been much research in the effectiveness of various PAP protocols, yet the type of dynamic muscle action utilized has seldom been investigated. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess whether an accentuated eccentric load (AE...
متن کاملDeterminants of countermovement jump performance: a kinetic and kinematic analysis.
This study aimed to investigate the contributions of kinetic and kinematic parameters to inter-individual variation in countermovement jump (CMJ) performance. Two-dimensional kinematic data and ground reaction forces during a CMJ were recorded for 18 males of varying jumping experience. Ten kinetic and eight kinematic parameters were determined for each performance, describing peak lower-limb j...
متن کاملLeg stiffness during phases of countermovement and take-off in vertical jump.
With respect to cyclic movements such as human gait, running or hopping, leg stiffness is a little variable parameter. The aim of this study was to investigate changes in leg stiffness during the phase of countermovement and take-off when performing a single maximum counter-movement jump. Kistler force plates and a BTS SMART system for comprehensive motion analysis were employed in the study. T...
متن کاملLeg Stiffness Asymmetry during Countermovement Jump
The purpose of this study was to identify whether the value of stiffness during two-legged countermovement jump in dominant lower limb is similar to the one in non-dominant lower limb. The research was conducted on 35 basketball players. Each participant performed three countermovement jumps with arm swing to the maximum height. Measurements employed a two Kistler force plates and a BTS SMART s...
متن کاملSex Differences in Countermovement Jump Phase Characteristics
The countermovement jump (CMJ) is commonly used to explore sex differences in neuromuscular function, but previous studies have only reported gross CMJ measures or have partly examined CMJ phase characteristics. The purpose of this study was to explore differences in CMJ phase characteristics between male and female athletes by comparing the force-, power-, velocity-, and displacement-time curv...
